Practical Information for visiting Buckingham Palace

Hampton Court Palace, a Grade I listed royal palace in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, played the part of the Danbury Estate — as well as several other locations throughout the first season of the Bridgerton spin-off. However, scenes showing the king’s conservatory were filmed elsewhere, at the Waddesdon Manor, a country house in the village of Waddesdon in Buckinghamshire, England. While Blenheim Palace played the part of Buckingham House in Queen Charlotte, a few other locations were also used for interior shots — namely Hatfield House and Hampton Court Palace — with garden scenes being filmed at Lincolnshire’s Belton House. Built between 1705 and 1722, Blenheim Palace is one of England’s largest houses and has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. The imposing estate now serves as the seat of the Dukes of Marlborough and is the only non-royal, non-episcopal country house in England to hold the title of palace.

The former football player moved into the residence following his release from prison in 2017. Before the demolition, in the back of the main house there were traces near the guest quarters—where Kato Kaelin once lived—where you could see that "police had dug up the ground" looking for the murder weapon and other evidence, the source said. But the onetime USC hero and Buffalo Bills star actually made sure to have one last look at Rockingham the day before the house was demolished, by then one of a throng of people trying to get a final glimpse of the infamous address. Simpson bought the house in 1977 for $650,000 and lost the estate to foreclosure 20 years later. A bank bought the house at auction for $2.6 million in July 1997, five months after a jury awarded the Goldman and Brown families a $33.5 million wrongful death judgment against Simpson—the majority of which they've never seen.

The café and ice-cream stands are situated at the end of the Palace visitor route, so are only accessible once you have been through the State Rooms. Queen Elizabeth II welcomed many foreign leaders to the palace for celebratory events as well as important diplomatic meetings. Construction was completed in 1853, and Queen Victoria reigned until her death in 1901. Her son Edward VII ascended to the throne, and he is credited with an interior redesign of the palace, the remnants of which can still be seen today. The land on which Buckingham Palace sits, in the borough of London known as Westminster, has been in the hands of the British monarchy for more than 400 years.

Charles will continue to perform all of his state duties, including reviewing government documents and meeting with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, as he has done since his diagnosis was disclosed Feb. 5, the palace said. King Charles III will resume some public duties next week following a three-month break to focus on his treatment and recuperation after he was diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer, Buckingham Palace said Friday. Despite his initial acquittal for the murders of Nicole and Ron, OJ Simpson would later be found liable for the wrongful deaths of both persons in the civil court case filed against the former footballer by the victims’ families. OJ Simpson initially agreed to turn himself in to police but would end up trying to flee on June 17, taking officers on a low-speed chase while driving his white Ford Bronco. Following the murders, the home underwent an address change from 875 Bundy Dr to 879 in an attempt to throw off unwanted visitors.

The palace said the king’s doctors are “very encouraged” by his progress, though it is too early to say how long his treatment will last. Following the recital, Nicole went to dinner with friends and family at the Mezzaluna restaurant, where her friend Ron Goldman was working at the time. If you were around in the early 90s, you likely saw the very publicized trial for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman on pretty much every major news network and court channel of the time. The home was built in 1991 and Nicole’s townhouse was 4-bedrooms, 4-bathrooms spanning 3,405 square feet. This photo below is an updated shot of the residence, where lots of tropical trees have been added to cover the gate not far from where the bodies were found. The home boasts 4-bedrooms and 4-bathrooms as well as 4,148 square feet of living space.

The New Guard, who during the course of the ceremony become The King’s Guard, march to Buckingham Palace from Wellington Barracks with musical accompaniment. The Throne Room's dramatic arch and canopy over the thrones was the masterpiece of the architect John Nash, and was greatly influenced by his background in theatre set designs. Firle Place is often used as a filming location, with many BBC series shooting here, including Jonathan Creek, the three-part miniseries The Line of Beauty, and Bake Off Creme de la Creme Series 2. Reminiscent of the ivy-covered Bridgerton house from the original series, the Ledger Estate is said to be in the vicinity of the Danbury Estate, facilitating the encounters between Violet’s dad, Lord Ledger, and Lady Danbury.

It passed through various hands before coming into the possession of the Duke of Buckingham, a suitor of Queen Anne. Here, he built Buckingham House in 1703, generally deemed the finest house in London, with the mall stretching before it through St. James's Park. After his death in 1731, George II approached the Duke's widow with an offer to buy it, but it was George III who finally closed the deal in 1762, paying £28,000. The King, one of the greatest book collectors in the history of England, created a fine library in the house. A remodelling programme was begun at this time, and was continued under George IV, transforming Buckingham Palace into the building with which we are familiar today.

Designed and built by William Winde and John Fitch, the structure that became known as “Buckingham House” was completed around 1705. It is said that King James I liked the site, and acquired it for use as a sort of garden for the royals. It also had a small, 4-acre grove of mulberry trees, which King James hoped to use for silk production (silkworms feed only on mulberry trees).

From its origins as a small house in 1703, Buckingham House has undergone many transformations to become the grand palace that we know today. The palace is not only the official residence of the British monarch but also an important tourist attraction in London. The palace’s unique architecture, history, and traditions make it a must-visit destination for anyone visiting London.

During their time at the restaurant, Nicole’s mother forgot her glasses, to which Goldman volunteered to bring to Nicole’s house later that evening. At the time, Goldman would have had no clue of the horrors that awaited him at Nicole’s house that night. According to property records, the building was last sold for $1.7 million in 2006. Some amenities to the home include a spacious swimming pool in the backyard, an attached 2-car garage, and a basketball court.
